2 1. Preparations for making bannock Get supplies Prepare kitchen

3 Supplies Ingredients: Flour (or whole-grain flour, optional) Salt Lard or oil Baking powder Water

4 Supplies Cast iron pan (at least 12” in diameter) Large mixing bowl and spoon Measuring cups and spoons Clean Tea towel

5 Prepare kitchen area Set oven to 450°F Lightly grease cast iron pan

6 2. Mixing instructions 3 Cups Flour: -White or -Whole wheat A shake of salt 1 Tbsp. Baking powder

7 Make a well and add: 3 Tbsp. Oil 1 ½ cups of Water, stir

8 Mixing

9 3. Kneading 10X – no more!

10 5. Bake the bannock Bake @ 450° 20-30 minutes Check often ✓ Golden-brown Great with butter and jam!
