The 3 most important were 25 th Dec, 1 st & 6 th Jan. Everyone was expected to give the king a gift. It was an important indicator of personal standing with the king if it was accepted or rejected. In 1532, H8 accepted Anne Boleyn’s gift but rejected Catherine’s! In 1541, Henry VIII banned all sports on Christmas Day except for archery Sir Robert Dudley gave Elizabeth I a wrist watch for Christmas! 7 Christmas Activity 4 The Tudors enjoyed to play a variety of games. How about having a go a Blind Man’s Bluff. Blindfold a member of your team and get them to stick a ring on Henry’s finger. The closest wins. The furthest off loses her head!

8 The Tudors loved to make sweets or ‘sweetmeats’ from marzipan or sugar formed into motifs or even buildings. Have a go a making a Tudor rose
