King Henry the Eighth
King Henry was born on June 28,1491 and died at the age of 55 on January 28,1547.

England was Roman Catholic, and divorcing was a sin. When Henry wanted to divorce his 1 st wife, Catherine, the pope refused, so in 1534 he made the Anglican Church, which is a form of Protestantism, with himself as head. In 1539, he gave permission to print out the 1 st English bible, known as “The Great Bible”, and demanded that every church in England owned one.
