2 Portfolio Set-Up 1.Read all directions first. 2.You can ask your teammates for help or questions. 3.Fold your tab (on the line). 4.Write your LAST, FIRST names on the tab. 5.Place your name inside the plastic sleeve so that your name angles up; towards the ceiling. YOU WILL WORK TOGETHER AS A CLASS: 6.Your tab should be inserted in order (Look at the crate in front of the room). So, in order to do this you will need to know who is before you and who is after you on the attendance roster. 7.Place your tab where it belongs (skip anyone absent). 8.Place folder in the APPROPRIATE crate for your period.

3 How to be SUCCESSFUL in this Classroom ☺ Participate in class discussion at appropriate times (not when another is speaking) ☺ Turn work in ON TIME and to the appropriate place ☺ Maintain a conscientious, non- disruptive, positive attitude when approaching subjects ☺ Be mentally and physically available to learn ☺ Arrive to class on time and prepared with the materials needed every day ☺ Keep your hands and objects to yourself and use appropriate language ☺ Be respectful of everyone

Record what you see on your sticky note (write small, you need to make lots of observations). Leave your sticky on the board before you go. 6 A Character Sketch of YOU! Due Monday, 8/31/15 Create Your Own Avatar – An icon or figure representing you, your traits, and your personality. The avatar must not be smaller than 9 inches tall and no bigger than 11 inches tall (it must fit most of a regular size paper; 8 ½” X 11”). 3 Pts. The avatar must have your name added and be cut out (see my example). 3 Pts. The avatar must CLEARLY portray: – A resemblance to you and accentuate your best qualities 3 Pts., – One thing about your personality (facial expressions, gestures, clothing, etc.) 3 Pts., – And at least one character trait (cheerful, studious, generous, etc.) 3 Pts.. 15 Point Formative DUE Monday, 8/31.
