3 Sort Data

4 Press Ctrl + Shift + * on keyboard to select whole dataset

5 Whole dataset should now be highlighted

6 Click on Data -> Sort

7 Sort by Market Cap

8 Order Largest to Smallest

9 Press OK

10 Sorts companies by Market Cap

11 Filter Data

12 Press Ctrl + Shift + * on keyboard to select whole dataset

13 Click on Filter

14 Provides Dropdown boxes for each column

15 Want to select Banks with a P/E ratio greater than 10

16 Click on ICB Sector Dropdown box

17 Uncheck the (Select All) box

18 Select Banks

19 Click OK

20 Shows only Banks

21 Click on P/E Dropdown box

22 Select Number Filters -> Greater Than

23 Select P/E is greater than 10

24 Click OK

25 Shows any Banks with P/E greater than 10

26 Challenge Sort data by Column B (Short Name) alphabetically from A to Z Filter data to show any companies from Germany (DE) with a share price above 30

27 Pivot Tables

28 Deselect Filter to return to full dataset

29 Press Ctrl + Shift + * to select dataset

30 Click on Insert -> Pivot Table

31 Check data range and click OK

32 Drag ICB Sector Name to Row Labels

33 Drag Cntry of Domicile to Column Labels

34 Drag P/E to Values

35 Shows the number of observations for each combination of Industry and Country

36 Click on Count of P/E -> Value Field Settings

37 Change from Count to Average

38 Click OK

39 Shows Average P/E of each industry in each country

40 Double-Click on Banks + GB

41 Opens a new sheet with only Banks in GB

42 Rename Sheets

43 Right-Click on Sheet 3 -> Rename

44 Rename as BanksGB

45 Right-Click on Sheet 2 -> Rename

46 Rename as PivotTable

47 Format Cells Decimal Places

48 Select all cells with numbers

49 Right-Click on cells and select Format Cells

50 Select Number -> 2 Decimal places

51 Press OK

52 Neatly formatted pivot table

53 File -> Save As -> 03c-datacompleted.xlsx

54 Challenge Calculate the maximum Market Cap for each Sector and Country Calculate the minimum Price for each Sector and Country
