3 Definition “Time management is the efficient use of what time you have in order to perform a set of tasks to the best of your ability”

4 Complete activity log ….and discuss with your neighbour When do you perform at your best? When are you at your least productive? How often do you take a break? Do you notice when your energy is high or low and the impact of your productivity?

7 GOAL SETTING Golden rules to goal setting: Set goals that motivate you Set SMART goals Write goals down – positive and present tense Action plan – steps to success Regularly review your progress

8 PRIORITISATION! 80:20 rule “To do” lists Identify High Value tasks Key question: “If you could only do 3 things today which would have the biggest impact on you, your team and the organisation – what would they be?”

10 PROCRASTINATION …can be useful, however Ask yourself why you are procrastinating? When you know why – change this bad habit Don’t let important work pile up Use it positively – leave the low priority work and wait until a task becomes important enough to deserve your time!

11 SCHEDULING Know your goals and priorities Take “time out” to review your progress – beginning/end of day Block out time for major projects – high energy time Leave room for interruptions Factor in contingency time
