Slide 7 ZSR New Action Types Roles and Home Cost Center
Slide 8 ZSR New Action Types Agenda Introduction: Overview of ZSR Process Changes and Improvements How-To: Using the ZSR New Action Types SAP Roles Home Cost Center
Slide 9 ZSR is now a "One Stop Shop" for SAP Security! The transaction that has been used for requesting other SAP privileges is now expanded to include requests to add and/or remove SAP roles. ZSR now allows updates to the "Home Cost Center" which determines the routing of some SAP workflows. The ZSR is the one-stop shop for the following action types: SAP Roles BW Roles with CC/IO Security Assignments Workflow Responsibility Assignments Additional Org Unit Security Access (Z61) Maintain Home Cost Center for Workflow Routing
Slide 10 ZSR Process Overview ZSR initiator makes request ZSR approval routed by initiators home cost center Request includes: restricted roles? Request includes roles or "Z61" HR relationships outside users business area Additional role owner approval Additional outside business area approval* Approved ZSR request Automatic updates daily * Workflow and BW do not yet have an outside ZSR approver No additional approvals required
Slide 11 Changes to ISR Processes ISR TypeOld ProcessNew ZSR Process POSITION CREATE ISR initiator could include roles on Position Create ISR for the position to be created with roles Once the new position has been created or copied from the ISR process, a ZSR will be needed to assign roles, individually or through the ZSR Position Copy feature POSITION COPY New position is assigned the same roles as the position copied POSITION MAINTAIN Position Maintain ISR was used to add or remove SAP roles ZSR will be used to add or remove SAP roles The ZSR includes an action type to update the Position Home Cost Center, which can also still be updated using a Position Maintain ISR.
Slide 12 Usability Improvements with the ZSR Role selection by type: Standard R/3 and SRM roles BW roles Restricted roles (requires additional approval) Portal roles (usually assigned automatically, rarely requested) Accompanying roles automatically assigned (e.g., roles needed for functional roles to operate properly) Copy capabilities: From one position to another From a previous ZSR request
Slide 13 Internal Control Improvements with the ZSR Automatic update/assignment of approved requests Validations to prevent key role conflicts Enhanced, fully automated ZSR workflow approvals: ZSR approval by user home cost center Additional approval for R/3 roles and Z61 requests outside of user business area (Future for BW and workflow assignments) Restricted role owner approval More accessible maintenance of home cost center to ensure proper routing of certain workflow transactions
Slide 14 Live ZSR Demo: - Roles Action Type -Home Cost Center Action Type -ZSR Approval -ZSR Report and Tracking
Slide 15 Conclusion ZSR has two new action types: Add or remove SAP roles Maintain the home cost center The expanded process makes ZSR the true one-stop shop for all SAP security and workflow requests, key features include: Improved approvals Automated assignments, including "accompanying" roles Validations to prevent role conflicts The ZSR report will be even more useful to: Display status of requests Maintain history of past assignments and changes The ease of use and improved process make the ZSR an integral tool in managing SAP roles and other privileges We will continue to listen to your feedback and prioritize additional enhancements and features
Slide 16 Were going to open the phone lines now! There will be a slight pause, and then a recorded voice will provide instructions on how to ask questions over this conference call line. Well be answering questions in the order that we receive them. Well also be answering the questions that were emailed to us during the presentation. If theres a question that we cant answer, well do some research after this session, and then email the answer to all participants. Q&A
