1 DAILY LOGISTICS IN MOBILE DATA COLLECTION FOR UNHCR SENS

4 Daily activities for coordinator In the morning, make sure all team leaders receive their phones and sign off correctly. In the field, support supervisors. In the evening: – Together with supervisors, check and verify ALL forms – Upload all finalised forms to server (synchronising) – Forms that needs correction should be kept on phone to be verified next day – Transfer forms from server into computer Server → csv → excel Save excel files according pre-defined folders and file names – Run ENA SMART plausibility check Overnight – make sure to charge ALL phones completely. In the next morning, give feedback to relevant supervisors and/or teams if corrections needs to be made.

5 Daily activities for supervisors In the field, support survey teams. In the field, do spot checks for: – Correct sampling, anthro and Hb measurement techniques, interviewing techniques, etc; – Correct phone settings; – Correct entries on phone forms. After data collection, make sure all team leaders hand in all phones. In the evening, check and verify ALL forms. In the morning, give feedback to relevant teams if corrections needs to be made.

6 Daily activities for team leaders In the morning: – Receive and sign off phones – Check on the phones: Time and date Flight mode All forms are there – Check all equipment During data collection, make sure all mobile forms and support forms are filled for each household At the end of the day, hand in phones and all filled in support forms

10 Things to note Never connect the computer to other wifi networks – especially not UNHCR networks (which often require change in computer settings, and which will then make it difficult for you when you return to the ODK and server operations) Always charge all phones completely overnight Upload data from phones to computer every night – and transfer data from server to excel
