What is a Grant? A type of financial assistance award for the conduct of research or other program as specified in the grant proposal.

How to Prepare a Grant Proposal Develop the proposal idea What will the project accomplish? Why is the project needed? What are the goals and objectives? Who will benefit? When will the project occur? Who will manage the project?

How to Prepare a Grant Proposal Send to IEEE Development Office IEEE Development Office (DO) is responsible for submitting proposals on behalf of IEEE DO will review proposal for: –Completeness and understandability –Compliance to agency guidelines –Consistency with IEEE mission –Terms if grant awarded
PI Required to Provide to DO Conflict of Interest statement for proposal PI Assurance, to certify: –Proposal true, complete, and accurate –Agrees to accept responsibility for scientific conduct of project and file reports in timely manner –Agree to comply with grant terms and conditions –Declare not debarred or suspended
