3 Clip chart Students are responsible for moving clips according to behavior. Students may not move their clip every day. Gibbs’ Goodies – positive reinforcement for desired behaviors Whole class rewards for desired behaviors

4 Birthdays Parents may send in a special snack (cupcakes, cookies, donuts, etc.) to be consumed at lunch. For the safety of all of our students, it would be best if you brought in store bought treats with the ingredients listed on the package.

9 If your child is absent please send a note stating the reason. Cobb County Attendance Policy After 3 unexcused absences, the teacher will make contact with parents. After 5 unexcused absences, administration will send a letter home to parents. After 7 unexcused absences, a referral to the school social worker is made. Please note that excessive absences (both excused or unexcused) can result in a referral to the school social worker.

11 Performing Arts Performing Arts – This year students will participate in many performing arts programs, one of which will be a trip to the Cobb Civic Center. It is extremely important that we have the permission slip returned. Donations are optional Fire Safety Village

23 Wellness Wednesdays ➢ Our PTA Health & Wellness Committee encourages families to participate in Wellness Wednesdays beginning next week. Students are encouraged to bring fresh fruit or veggies for snack every Wednesday. ➢ Fruit donations are provided to one grade level each week. ➢ Our Partners in Education and other local businesses in our community are sponsoring this program.
