5 Robotics Team Approximately 18 active members Embedded Developer Kits: –The Robotics team has created 10 kits that contain:  Breadboard, Resistor/Capacitor kits, Servo motor, AVR Microcontroller, In Circuit Serial Programmer (ICSP), DMM, LEDs… –IEEE Members can check out kits for free in order to practice the basics of robotics and AVR Embedded Systems programming

6 Region V We plan to participate in the 2015 Region V Robotics Competition –5 Team members interested in attending the conference As well as participating in the Circuits Competition –2 Team members In doing so, we have created a section of students dedicated to teaching software programming for engineering. The main language for higher level software is Python, while embedded systems use C

7 Software Programming The following is a Python script that creates a maze, while another function maps the maze

8 Mechanical Design Mechanical Engineers design schematics on Solidworks which are then created in the machine shop This picture is a shoulder joint for a mechanical arm, which the mechanical engineers will learn how to program using embedded C for microcontrollers and Python for higher level controls such as joysticks
