5 Functions to be tested Basic function of the daily coordinated auction – going thru a business day –Scheduling possibility –Limits publication –Auction bid sending –Auction evaluation (netting support) –Results communication Data exchange among participating TSO‘s –NTC values exchange –Registers synchronization –Exchange of scheduling results –Auction results download

6 Characteristics - Standards of Communication e-Trace = web based „thin client“ application – world wide access Data exchange: HTML forms, XML data files, web services standard available User of the ePortal – a person on behalf of the auction participant (only personal user accounts available) All commercial communication is encrypted (SSL) and electronicaly signed (origin, irrevocability) – qualified certificates required to access the systém Personal qualified certificates are required All operation of every user is stored in the system history ESS formats used – where it is not available „ESS similar“ format is used When any problem occure – users contact helpdesk of the Auction office

7 Qualified personal certificates Specification in Annex 12 of the Auction Rules Problem with not compatible legislation – major is standard for electronic signatures RFC3739 Required certificate must be allowed for: –Data encipherment –Electronic signature – qualified certificate Certificate must be issued by an accredited authority: www.centrast.pl www.centrast.pl Annex 12 will be updated Solutions: –Possibility to obtain a qualified certificate in neighbouring countries (D, CZ) –an exemption for Polish Auction Participants for 1 year: usage of commercial certificates issued by an accredited authority compliant with specification
