Characteristics - Standards of Communication e-Trace = web based „thin client“ application – world wide access Data exchange: HTML forms, XML data files, web services standard available User of the ePortal – a person on behalf of the auction participant (only personal user accounts available) All commercial communication is encrypted (SSL) and electronicaly signed (origin, irrevocability) – qualified certificates required to access the systém Personal qualified certificates are required All operation of every user is stored in the system history ESS formats used – where it is not available „ESS similar“ format is used When any problem occure – users contact helpdesk of the Auction office

Qualified personal certificates Specification in Annex 12 of the Auction Rules Problem with not compatible legislation – major is standard for electronic signatures RFC3739 Required certificate must be allowed for: –Data encipherment –Electronic signature – qualified certificate Certificate must be issued by an accredited authority: www.centrast.pl www.centrast.pl Annex 12 will be updated Solutions: –Possibility to obtain a qualified certificate in neighbouring countries (D, CZ) –an exemption for Polish Auction Participants for 1 year: usage of commercial certificates issued by an accredited authority compliant with specification
