Sleeping arrangements Girls room- 24 beds Boys room- 24 beds Extra smaller rooms each sleeping 2-6 children. All within 10 metres of staff bedroom.

Food Children will need to have breakfast at home and packed lunch on Monday All other meals provided by a catering agency and will be agreed before we go. Last year was a delicious roast chicken dinner, apple crumble and custard All children will be offered a hot/cold drink and biscuit before they go to bed. Cooked breakfast, as well as selection of cereals, fruit juice, yogurt and toast.

Safety Safety travelling Safety on coach- We expect all children to behave well on the coach. If your child is travel sick, please give their medication before you arrive at school and give our designated first aider (TBC) their tablets in a named envelope for the return journey. Safety on site Swimming pool- we are hoping to use the pool this year. It is fenced off and children will only be allowed in with a small group and fully supervised by a trained lifeguard. FIRST AID- we will have full first aid kits on site and when we go on any walks. Risk assessments- all done fully by staff before we go All buildings are locked using a keypad entry system Ratio of staff to children 1:8

Behaviour Children will be expected to display a high standard of behaviour at all times. We will operate a ‘time out’ system for any poor behaviour. For more serious offences, including disobeying their teacher/ refusing to co-operate to the extent of causing danger to themselves and/or to others the most serious sanction will be to contact the parent to arrange immediate collection of their child from the centre.

Medical needs Nearest hospital is Weston General – permanent transport on site for emergencies A teacher will accompany if further medical assistance is required and will inform parents in the first instance and will keep them informed during the duration of the emergency/medical attention Parents will be informed in the first instance as a precaution or for advice An updated medical form must be completed with ALL medical information in detail and up to date contact information. Please ALSO speak personally to our designated first aider (TBC) nearer the time regarding more complex medical information as they will be the members of staff who are in charge of medical arrangements. Bed wetting, sleep walking or other behaviours aren’t a problem, but please inform us so we can be prepared. Please speak to your child’s teacher regarding these issues if you believe them to be even of slight concern.

Contact numbers The school will operate the texting system to be used to contact parents with regards to important information about the trip e.g. return time to school. Please ensure you have provided school with an up to date telephone number where you can be contacted at any time.

Timings The expected departure time from Christ Church will be 9:15am on Monday 6 th October. On return, it is expected that we will arrive back in school at approximately 2:30pm so the children will need to be collected from the hall at the normal time on Wednesday 8th. If this changes we will use the texting system. After school club – please consider their luggage.
