3 Two Most Important City States SPARTA Military service was of the utmost importance to Spartans. Never grew to be very large in numbers. Dying in battle was the only honorable death. Athens Focused on reason, education, and politics. Set lasting standards in Gov’t. Used reason and intelligence to determine patterns and explanations of the natural world.

4 Developments of Greek City States The Greeks developed many technological advancements: – The Aqueducts were used to carry water down from lakes in the mountains to the cities.
