1 IMTS Post show report

2 OBJECTIVES Promote NSK as a “one source provider” for supplying both precision bearing and linear components to machine tool industry. Communicate NSK’s new technologies and innovative product offerings. Drive traffic (new and existing business) to booth. Maintain NSK brand recognition.

3 Objectives were met by:
Participated in the largest trade show targeted to machine tool industry in USA. None of the other NSK competitors are a manufacturer of precision bearings, linear motion and mechatronics. Promoted three new product categories: NH/NS Series Linear Guides X1 Seal Technology for Ball Screws BSBD Series Ball Screw Support Bearings Featured dynamic product demonstrations to showcase NSK product capabilities such as: Nut Cooling Ball Screw Grease Replenishing Spindle System Angular Contact Ball Bearing: Robust Series E Type Comparison Two Integration Capabilities Demonstrations NSK Robot Module integrated with FANUC robot. NSK XY Table and Spindle demonstration showcasing precision bearings and linear motion components for a machine tool application.

Company Booth Number Bosch Rexroth Corp. E5283 Promoted capability to combine your CNC control with high-performance electric and hydraulic drive technologies manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. Incorporated an interactive demo that etched visitors business cards in metal that promoted their Open Core Engineering system. Reduces amount of interfaces needed for programming. Demo consisted of their linear modules and linear motor-equipped Ball Rail Table. Good use of booth space, incorporated monitors above each display and touchscreens to illustrate each products’ function and benefit. Incorporated digital marketing for trade show promotion; company website and social media channels.

Larger booth and consistent branding throughout booth. Moving demos featured toward front and edges of the booth. Static product displays lined back wall of booth. Promoted linear guides, ball screws, linear actuators, and linear modules and direct drive motors.

Expertise in all areas needed: Focus: bearings, mechatronics, lubrication, seals and services. Promoted drives, guide systems, lubrication & sealing technology for machine tool industry.

Company Booth Number THK E-4924 Front and center; good booth position. Featured an upstairs area for private meetings. Heavily staff with THK booth staffers. Showcased a large sample of product lines, including their longest manufactured rail. Product categories promoted: ball screw and repair services, linear guides, seals, accessories, lubricants and greases.

Maintained branding presence, delivered new product innovations. Announced NEW NH-NS Linear Guide Series, New X1 Seal Technology for Ball Screws and BSBD Series Ball Screw Support Units.

21 FUTURE PLANS Exhibit in next IMTS – Sept. 2016
Decreased booth size from 1200 sq. ft. to 600 sq. ft. Improve in-house support for demo creation. Schedule meeting with Engineering, Segment, and Management now to start planning 2016 and determine budget needs for in-house demos. Determine how we can improve TNSK support. Work with them earlier to receive support regarding demos. Look into possibility of have more than one demo built. Continue to use social media, industry publications, and trade shows sponsor resources to increase traffic to booth. Consider investment of MT Insight for pre-show promotion and post-show metrics tool. MT Insight is data and analytics tool available through The Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT). Pulls contact information from past IMTS events and current IMTS show to tailor pre-marketing efforts for increasing booth attendance.
