11 CSU San Bernardino Finance Update – Auxiliary Effort The CSUSB Foundation has converted to PeopleSoft Finance v8.4 on July 1, 2006 Benefits to Foundation and campus departments: -Both Foundation and the University are on one accounting system -On-line/Real Time access to view account history and balances -Printing of reports on-line by departments -Chartfield accounts and department ID's are shared with the University's chart of accounts. -Inquiries and reporting requests should use Foundation business unit = SBFDN -Chartfield account combinations should be confirmed with the designated RA of the project -Ability to produce reports by department/college or grant-projects -Asset management/inventory system has been automated -Quicker month-end and year-end closing -No more manual checks, however a third check run was added to the work week -Travel Advance checks must be requested no less than 5 working days prior to the date the check is needed -On-line purchase requisitions
