3. The Florida’s Department of Transportation in conjunction with the National Center for Transit Research (NCTR) heard this call for help by Florida’s rural transit providers and responded.

4. Florida’s Response to Rural Providers In 2005 FDOT funded the development of a tracking system that would help rural transit providers with a tool to track, trend and analyze their accidents/ incidents Tracking this data is a requirement under Florida Statute 1490.004

5. Are you tracking your incident data? If not, this tool is available to you through the internet at no cost.

13. Bus Incident Investigation Training Video In 2006, NCTR and FDOT partnered again to provide technical assistance and support to rural transit system, by providing them with a video on the rules & responsibilities of accident /incident investigation
