5 Exercise 1: Do the quiz. 1, Which one of these is not a continent: Africa, Asia, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, North America, South America? 2, What language do people speak in Brazil: Spanish, French or Portuguese? 3, What is the capital city of Thailand? 4, What are the Andes: a group of mountains or a group of islands? 5, What is the longest river in the world? 6, Where is lake Geneva? 7, What is the biggest desert in the world? 8, Which of these cities are not on the coast: Cairo, Madrid, Sydney?

6 Exercise 2: A leaflet. Complete this text by writing one word in each gap. Here is 1,… I do about recycling. I put all my newspapers, magazines, old envelopes- 2,.. fact, all my paper- to one side, and recycle it along 3,… all the bottles that become empty 4,… the week. I take my printer cartridges to a shop round 5,… corner, where they collect them. It is 6, … much, I know, but I think, every little thing counts.

10 Exercise 6: An error. Each of these sentences contain an error. Find it and correct it. 1, I feel hoping about the future. 2, We have to be realism – some pollution is inevitable. 3, If we live here on this Earth, we are responsible to its conditions. 4, How really matters is education - telling people how to reduce pollution. 5, In my opinion, the real issue are economics.
