2 The Shelter by Evalyna and Veronica This is what the Gabrielenos shelter was like: round, walls made out of woven tule, fern, and grass, too. They used willow branches and yucca fibers to hold the house. The Gabrielenos did do a lot of work making the house. This is what the Gabrieleno’s shelter was like: the house was round, dome-roof, woven tule, fern, grass, and sticks.It looks hard. It looks like a small village. They needed to make room for the oven.

3 Clothing by Fred and Hector This is how the Gabrielenos used their resources to make clothing.The Gabrielenos used tattoos because they thought it was beautiful.The woman wore aprons. The Gabrielenos used animals skin for clothing.

4 The Shelter by Joshua & Gabriel This is what the Gabrielenos shelter was like. It was round all over it. They used sticks,willow branches,woven tulle and fern grass. To keep them warm they used animal skins. They lived in a permanent village.

5 Hunting and Fishing by Jake and Timothy This is how the Gabrielenos fished and hunted.They would make trap falls.They would put food for bait, and the animal came and the trap fall falls on them.Little boy’s practice killing rabbits

6 Let’s Discover Our Native People by Jason and Rudy The Gabrielenos chose to settle in Southern California because we have good weather. There were many animals there to eat. There was soapstones called steatite that was useful. They had fresh food and water. They had plants here, too.

7 Food by Krystal &Pearl The Gabrielenos ate a variety of food. They ate rats, crows, fish, and any snake except for the rattlesnake. They also ate deer. There is a special kind of food that they eat on a stick. It is a grass hopper on a stick that was their favorite treat. It was burned on a stick.

8 Hunting and Fishing by Karla L. and Marjorie D. The Gabrielenos killed animals with a bow and arrow that was made out of hawk feathers. Then the Gabrielenos put up smoke so they could see gophers.

9 Tools by MEGAN &RAELENA The Gabrielenos used their resources to make tools and utensils. When they get the animals they scraped it. Before that they carry the utensils in a upside basket.It looks like an upside cone. They used large shells for plates.Also they used stones for pounding tools.

10 Food by Trevor & Michael The Gabrielenos eat rats..I think the Gabrielenos like fish.The Gabrielenos ate a variety of food.This is how they ate a grasshopper.

11 Tools by Sarah The Gabrielenos used their resources to make tools and utensils. They used a cone- shaped basket. They also used stirrers,woods,spoons,and small shells. The Gabrielenos used baskets to prepare foods.

12 Clothing by Vidal M. This is how the Gabrielenos used their resources to make clothing.If they wanted a tattoo they had use plants then cut a design. Then get a sharp then you have a tattoo.
