Design Goals Fast paced, fluid, fun. Classic first person shooter style. As many options for the player as possible, given the design time frame. Multiple locations, enemies, and weapons.
Gameplay The player points and clicks to fire the currently equipped gun at an enemy. Enemies have varying health, different guns do different amounts of damage and have different spreads and fire rates. Enemies will hid behind scenery in the current location. The player will also have the ability to hide. The player’s health decreases as they get hit, they can get healing to increase their health.
Features Multiple guns and enemies. The player has an avatar at the bottom of the screen that reflects the current damage state of the player. The status bar has icons for all weapons as well as the “on-screen” view. High scores and a high scores list! Classic carnage!
Under the hood Everything is implemented programmatically using Actionscript and movie clips. Timers and event listeners drive the program execution. The game is all 2-d graphics that will simulate the depth of a 3-d environment.
