Goal 1: Deliver a current and responsive curriculum that promotes intellectual and professional development. Goal 2: Promote excellence through scholarly endeavors. Goal 3: Promote excellence through service to the College’s stakeholders. Goal 4: Engage with the regional and global business community. Goal 5: Promote diversity in all areas. Goal 6: Promote integrity in all areas.

Goal 1: Current and Responsive Curriculum Examples: Integration of COB courses into UCA CORE, Introduction of I&E major, Online MBA and tracks in Finance and Health Care Administration, new courses in Accounting and Insurance, Expanded Experiential Learning Opportunities AY : Launch online MBA and tracks, Build additional MBA track in MIS, Launch I&E minor, Continue program gap analysis (where appropriate)

Goal 2: Promote excellence through scholarly endeavors Examples: Publication bonus pool, reinstated COB Faculty Research Award, Faculty Development and Research Committee developed operational definition and measures of impact AY : Launch ACRE Center, Continue publication bonus pool and annual award, continue to raise funds to support research

Goal 3: Promote excellence through service to the College’s stakeholders. Examples: Quarterly meetings with Advisory board, College Nights Participation, MIS Department IT Career Camp, Accounting Department CPE, StartUp Conway partnership, Target and Windstream Case Competitions, .BuzzFest and .Buzz partnership AY : launch online MBA, continue to expand advisory board, continue college nights and meetings with corporations, establish partnership with DFJ

Goal 4: Engage with the regional and global business community. Examples: SBANC Database and Newsletter, Insurance Center Resume Book, Accounting Department “Meet the Firms”, Student Case Competitions, John Allison Speaker Series, Davis Speaker Series AY 2014 – 2014: Launch ACRE Center, Continue John Allison and Davis Speaker Series, establish partnership with DFJ

Goal 5: Promote diversity in all areas. Examples: Diverse applicant pools for faculty and staff positions, Targeted UG and G recruitment efforts, College Diversity Committee, Established travel abroad course designations AY 2014 – 2015: campaign to build awareness of RSO Day on Lawn and Majors Fair; Work with OID to attract diverse applicant pool, Student Ambassadors Program

Goal 6: Promote integrity in all areas Examples: Expanded COB Faculty Tools Page, Encouraged Faculty participation in AACSB 2013 standards alignment, Developed a committee structure and charge document, Shared executive committee meeting minutes, Established pool drive for all committees, Assessed ethical awareness and reasoning in COB Curriculum AY 2014 – 2014: Continue to foster relationships of mutual trust, transparency, shared governance, and communication among the college’s faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders, Reintroduce DO News

10 Constant Themes Targeted at Recognizing High Quality Business Education and Efforts towards Continuous Improvement Innovation: Accreditation standards and associated processes should foster quality and consistency, but not at the expense of creativity and innovation. We expect that innovation will lead improvement and high-quality. Impact: In an environment of increasing accountability, accreditation must focus on outcomes. Areas of impact include assurance of learning, the impact of the research done by faculty on theory, practice and teaching of business. Examples of impact across several areas are noted in the appendix of the standards. Engagement: We believe that high-quality business education results when there is significant on-going engagement with the professional world. Accreditation should encourage an appropriate intersection of academic and professional engagement consistent with quality in the context of the school’s mission.
