1 Instructional Technology  Responsibility  Instructional Technology is primarily responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of technology into the Instructional & Administrative environment  2010-2011 Goals  Manage and implement the Enhancing Education Through Technology grant in 6 schools, including the Westinghouse Academies and The Teacher Academies at Brashear and King  Assist with the planning, implementation and training of the new SIS system including but not limited to the Scheduler and Gradebook  Assist all 7 strands of the EET Initiative with technology integration and implementation

4 Instructional Technology  Accomplishments  EETT  Approximately 74 classrooms in 6 sites have been equipped with 21 st Century tools  79 teachers have participated in 371 hours of PD from Sept - Dec  Pinnacle  Successfully piloted in 5 schools (Gradebook) with 4 using in it conjunction with SASI and 1 using it in conjunction with Pinnacle SIS  RISE tool  Successfully launched to 25 Year 1 Rise schools  Moodle  Successfully migrated onto PPS servers  Extensive use of Moodle by SciTech due to 1-1 environment  Total number of classes currently offered on Moodle: 625  Gaggle  In use at 37 schools, available for all schools grades 6-12  From Sept 1 – Dec 22: 37415 logins logged  Maintain approx 22,000 accounts (teachers and students)

6 Instructional Technology  Things to Come  EETT  Focus for 2 nd semester is lesson design using technology tools  Alignment into curriculum for teacher training at the new Academies  Pinnacle – Phase 2  An additional 27 schools will be brought on to Pinnacle Gradebook starting February 2, 2011  SIS Scheduler training will begin February 7, 2011  RISE  An additional 30 schools (Year 2 schools) opted into RISE  Cisco Academy
