2 Where were the larger Acadian settlements in Nova Scotia located? Port Royal became a very fast thriving place to settle.

3 Who led the first settlement in Acadia? Samuel de Champlain led the first settlement in Acadia. Samuel de Champlain arrived off the coast, what is now south western Nova Scotia.

4 Why did the French come to Nova Scotia? The French came to Nova Scotia because the British wouldn’t include their ideas in the court of law.

5 When was Acadia first settled? By late June Demonts gathered his crew of 79 settlers and sailed into Passamaquoddy bay. Passamaquoddy is in Maine U.S.A. the year was 1604.

6 Where were the Acadians sent in 1755? Most Acadians were sent to Louisiana and few of the Acadians were sent to Boston. Both states are in U.S.A.

7 Was the Expulsion necessary? We do not think the expulsion was necessary. The expulsion was not necessary because the Acadians did not do anything to England. England wanted to takeover their land so why is the King so mad at the Acadians.

8 Should the Acadians receive an apology from the Queen for actions of the English in 1755? explain why? We think that they should have a apology from the Queen, because the Acadians did nothing wrong the Queen of England did the mean stuff to the Acadians.

9 Why did the people of Acadia begin to lose their close ties to France by 1745 The Acadians were getting ruled by Britain.

10 The Acadian life was hard in some ways. They were farmers which would be because you would need to work the crops, and later they had England attacking them for nothing, so that would have been very hard for the Acadians.

11  On July 11, 1764, the British government passed an order into the council to permit the Acadians to legally return to British land, provided that they take an unqualified oath of allegiance. The Acadians were allowed to return to British land because the war was over.

12 The events that led the expulsion is, the Acadians didn’t sign the treaty to the English for the Acadians land, and they didn’t follow King Georges laws. The English wanted to remove Acadians from Nova Scotia, because they wouldn’t give The English their land. What events led the expulsion in 1755?
