3. LOLA LOVED TO DANCE SO SHE STARTED A DANCE SCHOOL. LOLA WANTED TO BE A PROFESSIONAL BALLERINA WHEN SHE WAS OLDER. TODAY WAS LOLAS FIRST DAY AT DANCE AND SHE WAS VERY NERVOUS. “HELLO LOLA.” SAID MRS PRINGLE THE TEACHER. LOLA THOUGHT MRS PRINGLE WAS BEAUTIFUL. LOLA WENT TO MEET THE OTHER DANCERS. 4. Lola looked at the other dancers, who were warming up and ready to practice. She could see Silvia and Ella admiring themselves in the mirror. They were so slender and tall. Then there was a small group of dancers, exercising on the barre. Suddenly, three boys came rushing into the room nearly knocking Lola over. Suddenly Mrs Pringle shouted at the top of her voice. “ Listen up now everyone next summer we will be performing the Silver Swan at this years winter festival, you will all take part.” Lola got scared she couldn’t dance very well she would fail. “ This morning I will choose who will play each part.” said Mrs Pringle. For the first role they had to be tress. Mrs Pringle chose Sirina and Molly but not Lola. Click me

6. “Next,” said Mrs Pringle, “ I want you to dance like fire, listen to the music and dance. The dancers leapt around the hall dancing like fire. “Very good” applauded Mrs Pringle, she chose the three boys but not Lola. “STOP dancing, now you have to dance like woodland creatures.” said Mrs Pringle. The dancers rushed around the hall. Mrs Pringle chose the rest of the dancers to be woodland creatures, but not Lola. Lola was she left out. Click me

7. Lola began to cry she was the only dancer without a part. “Now” said Mrs Pringle, I would normally choose an older dancer for the star role, but this year the swan will fly across the stage on dancers ropes. For this we need the lightest dancer in the school.” Everyone looked at Lola. “I know this is your very first lesson Lola but I wander do you want to be our silver swan.” LOLA WAS THRILLED. “ Yes, yes,yes” LOLA SCREAMED AT THE TOP OF HER VOICE. 8. Lola’s class practiced really hard that summer, and at the end of the term had their best performance ever. Everyone was very pleased with Lola and she felt very pleased with herself to. Maybe one day Lola could be famous …. Click me
