3 Living Room Size & Arrangement variety of sizes and shapes size determined on number of people and size of other rooms presence of an adjacent patio, porch, deck, balcony to accommodate circulation and a secondary furniture grouping a living room width greater than 14 ft. is generally needed a secondary furniture grouping may consist of small conversation area that has 2-3 people length of 16-18 feet is sufficient for a seated conservation area

5 Dining Room Location The dining needs to be near the kitchen to permit the movement of food at serving time. It should also be near the living room so that guests can move easily from the dining room to the living room

6 Dining Room SIzE and arrangement minimum 80 square feet average 120 square feet dining room measuring 180 square feet seats 4-8 a dining room over 200 square feet is considered very large table, chairs is normal furniture required size of chairs depends on size and style

7 Conclusion dining room needs to be near kitchen and living room minimum is 80 square feet average is 120 square feet large is over 200 square feet
