Community Action Programs SMOC energy services Google – town + weatherization contractors Internet research Craigslist mass.gov Better Business Bureau Recruit from catchment area of graduate Cold call Follow-up Always call when you say you will!!

6 Offer specific times Accommodate their schedule and availability “I’ll come to you” Prepare contractor for meeting Email documents Ask contractor to review documents before the meeting and have questions ready Prepare for meeting Schedule the Meeting

7 Be professional!! Review packet in detail Be positive and upbeat about future relationship Inform contractor of future trainings Identify and discuss specific needs of contractor Custom fit of graduate to contractor On-going communication The Meeting

8 Thank the contractor for their time Follow up correspondence Update contractor database Personal touch – remember the little things! Post Meeting

9 Communicate simultaneously with contractors and graduates Place graduates as soon as possible after training is completed Email / call contractors with potential candidates Follow up with candidate and contractor Keep momentum going Encourage graduates to do their own research Continue to work on removing barriers Job Placement
