9 Leadership Fundamentals This two-day workshop, offered in partnership with the Center for Creative Leadership, is for individual contributors — whether seasoned or just growing into their role — serve as key role models in the organization, are influential team members and part of the future leadership pipeline. Builds leadership skills necessary for individual contributors to excel in their current roles and prepare for future roles at the University. Focus is on four key challenges: Influencing without authority Building relationships and networks Defining personal leadership and career goals Expanding comfort zones 9 Target Audience and Process Exempt and nonexempt individual contributors Pre-supervisory In role since 9/1/15 with a minimum rating “5” People apply and are endorsed by their managers Leadership Fundamentals Center for Creative Leadership May 25 & 26 August 1 & 2 50 seats per session Program & Dates

10 10 3 | Deliver Leadership Development Curriculum Target Audience and Process Program & Dates Has both direct and indirect reports (a manager of managers) and/or is a manager who has a broad range of responsibilities involving teamwork and influence EXS 10 and above; in role since 9/1/15 with a minimum rating of “5” People are nominated by their unit/school senior leaders Staff Leadership Kellogg Exec Ed June 9, 10, 29, & 30 45 seats

11 Leader as Coach With the ability to have effective coaching conversations, University leaders can help others develop as leaders, solve problems, create opportunities and improve performance. In this program, participants learn how utilizing a “coach approach” can enhance one’s interpersonal leadership effectiveness in the workplace. Build stronger skills in coaching and providing feedback to others.
