6 Quiz Quiz Trade  Everyone will be given a question from our curriculum (don’t worry answer is on the back)  You will find someone to “quiz” them about your question – if they are stuck give them hints  They will also “quiz” you on their question  After you both have answered the questions, trade cards and go find different partners  If you need a partner, hold hand in the air

13 Social Darwinism  Applies Darwin’s theory of “survival of the fittest” to society (race, religion, ethnicity, class, etc…)  The industrial revolution required massive amounts of raw materials  After the American Revolution, GB no longer had mercantilism  America will have its own IR  Germany wants in  Where will we find more resources when resources are scarce?

14 Imperialism  Industrialized nations will begin invading and conquering other non-industrialized nations to take their resources  Imperialism: The takeover and exploitation of one country by another  They will do this under the disguise of “helping” those deemed to “need help” to get resources
