3 What to Expect in 096 ●Learning about the Reading Process and the Writing Process ●MySkillsLab and Lab Manual A ●Grammar practice and quizzes ●Reading and highlighting parts of a paragraph (topic sentences, main ideas, etc.) ●Reading passage midterm exam and reading passage final exam ●Final writing assignment: Illustration paragraph

4 What to Expect in 097 ●Reading articles in the textbook and answering questions about them (Main idea, finding the thesis, topic sentences, etc.) ●MySkillsLab and Lab Manual B ●Peer reviews ●Midterm writing assignment: Illustration paragraph ●Final writing assignment: Illustration essay (5 paragraphs)

5 What to Expect in 098 ●Reading three articles in the textbook ●MySkillsLab and Lab Manual C ●Review of the Writing and Reading Processes ●Peer Reviews ●THREE writing assignments: 1. Illustration paragraph 2. Midterm: Illustration essay (5 paragraphs) 3. Final: Writing a documented essay (5 paragraphs, In-text citations, and Works Cited page)
