4 Why Brand?  Establishes your organization on campus  A recognizable identity of an individual organization  A sense of uniqueness that correlates with your organizations identity  Work on branding yourself to maximize wanted results

6 STEP One: Creating an image - logo tie in with Orgsync - Must be a group decision - Must have longevity! - Ideally an image should be able to survive years… not a week!

7 STEP One: Creating an image – Organizational Image on a professional/ Community standpoint Ask Yourselves… What is our reputation on campus? Do we even have one? Do we need to improve our reputation in anyway?

8 STEP Two: Focus on Making Genuine Connections -Every person that you interact with has a perception make sure that you do not give them a reason to have a positive one! -Key to success here is Genuine NETWORKING! -Both online and face to face -Remember Names, personal invites, stop in the hall to say hello,

9 STEP Three: Synergy! - Every single piece of correspondence you send out, from individual emails to mass emails, should have a uniform throughout the entire org. - If there’s a particular font you favor, use it on your OrgSync Page! - Place your logo everywhere. Always refer to your organization by the same name. Either the short or long version! You simply can’t have one kind of identity online and a different one in the real world – it will work against your branding efforts and leave people confused, or worse, disinterested.

10 STEP Four: Unconventional Pathways for Promotion - When it comes to integrating print marketing into your branding strategy, don’t limit yourself to the old standards like postcards or flyers. - Instead, you can make a real impact by choosing less expected items, like door hangers, magnets or custom stickers. Something tangible, something unique, like your organization!

11 Remember… - Branding doesn’t have to be a headache. With a bit of ingenuity, it can offer many excellent opportunities to publicize yourself and your Organization. - You always want to increase your web presence and brand recognition!

21 twitter  If you or your organization has a Twitter account but not a lot of followers you can expand your network and build relationships with students by running a quick search on Twitter (search.twitter.com) for anybody discussing a specific keyword or hash tag and you can get hundreds of contacts.
