6 STUDENT SAFEKEEPING  All safekeeping goes through the Office of Student Life  Safekeeping account application  Safekeeping accounts (financial updates)  Reimbursement requests (turn-around times)  Deposits  Funding  SGC – MSA – GSC  All organizations disperse funds to student organizations (differently)  Funds are allocated to groups and students are reimbursed

8 EVENTS: LOGISTICS  Reserving a room  KUMC rooms – tlt-media@kumc.edu  School of Nursing Atrium – Kari Ziblut (kziblut@kumc.edu)  Ed Phillips Room & Murphy Courtyard – Deb Brogden (dbrogden@kumc.edu)  Table and chair setup  Facilities Management – email for small setups (1 table/2 chairs)  Indicate that you are a student organization and whether or not you would like to setup the tables and chairs yourself (the free option)  Work with the Office of Student Life for larger setups  Media requests – tlt-media@kumc.edu

11 THE BEAT: ORGANIZATIONS  Manage your organization’s site  As a student leader, you can manage the appearance of your organization’s site, including color scheme, header, font, and organization logo.  Add content to your organization’s site  Specific content can be added to round out your organization’s site. These include wall posts, news articles, photos, and documents.

12 THE BEAT: ORGANIZATIONS  Manage your organization’s roster  You can update the status of current members, whether removing them or identifying their role in specific positions. You can also invite other people on campus to become members of your organization.  Changing leadership  As positions in your organization are filled, you may need to update the campus site with the new student leader information. Due to the way the system operates, there is a specific process that you must follow in order to successfully update your organization’s leadership.

13 THE BEAT: DOCUMENTS & FORMS  Your organization’s site can serve as the central and historical point of all relevant documents  Create a form for your organization to gather specific information, such as an application.

14 THE BEAT: EVENTS  Events can only be created by the organization’s primary contact.  Events that have an image or flyer uploaded along with it will appear on the event flyer board on the homepage. (saved as a PDF)  You can set who can see and RSVP to the event during the creation process.

15 THE BEAT: MESSAGING  Make sure you are listed as the President, primary contact or leadership  You will be messaged through the BEAT about important upcoming events and information (NOT YOUR EMAIL)  Message your own group members or peers directly
