4 The district leadership committee chair or district director notifies nominated candidates and reconfirms their willingness to be nominated.

5 How many weeks prior to the district conference must the committee report be submitted and published, respectively?

6 The committee report must be submitted six weeks prior to the district conference. It must be published four weeks prior to the district conference.

7 What is the District Leadership Committee?

8 It is the committee that seeks out prospective candidates, evaluates and interviews candidates, nominates candidates, and provides a complete report of candidates.

9 What does the committee do if no candidates have submitted their name to run for a specific position?

10 If no candidate has submitted their name to run, the committee must find candidates who are willing to run. The committee then completes the same process that was followed for the other candidates.

11 How does the District Leadership Committee choose which candidates to nominate?

12 The District Leadership Committee evaluates the results of its interviews and matches the applications against the competencies of the position. The committee considers each candidate’s leadership ability and willingness to achieve the district mission by following the core values of the organization.
