2 Location of Brazil Brazil is the largest country in Latin America in population and land area. Located on the eastern side of south America Shares a border with nearly every country in South America Covered by a network of rivers. VideoVideo

4 Location of Brazil Brazil trades most with the United States Brazil also trades with China, Argentina, Germany, and the Netherlands

5 Climate of Brazil The country’s location near the equator allows for the Amazon Rain Forest Mostly hot and tropical in the north and on the eastern coastline. Dry Simi Desert in the east Mild and Mediterranean in the south A small part of the south east has the marine climate

6 Population Distribution Most Brazilians live along the coastal regions 80% of the people live within 200 miles of the ocean

12 Location of Cuba Island 90 miles from Florida Bordered by the Atlantic ocean, Caribbean sea, and the Gulf of Mexico.

13 Location of Cuba 700 miles long 135 miles wide in it’s widest and 20 wide in its shortest.

14 Location of Cuba 76% of Cubans live in Urban areas 20% of them live in the capital, Havana Many of the people have jobs in the manufacturing sector Many have jobs in the service sector

15 Climate of Cuba Cuba has a tropical climate that is warm all year long. Their location and climate means that they are a target for hurricanes.

16 Natural Resources of Cuba 28 percent of Cuba’s land is arable Most of this is used for growing sugar because Cuba is dependent on its sugar crop* Coffee, fish, fruits, and tobacco are also important

17 Natural Resources of Cuba Cuba is a communist country. Therefore the government owns most of the farms and businesses Cuba was supported by the soviet Union but when it fell, Cuba's economy was hurt badly. It has not recovered
