3 LOCATION of Mexico Northernmost country of Latin America. Has direct access to the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. Also has access to the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea.

4 CLIMATE of Mexico Varies from tropical to desert

5 NATURAL RESOURCES of Mexico Petroleum, silver, copper, gold, lead, zinc, natural gas, timber

6 Venezuela

7 LOCATION of Venezuela Northern South America To its north is the Caribbean Sea. Major air and sea routes linking North and South America.

8 CLIMATE of Venezuela Tropical; hot, humid; more moderate in highlands

9 NATURAL RESOURCES of Venezuela Petroleum, natural gas, iron ore, gold, bauxite, other minerals, hydropower, diamonds

11 LOCATION of Brazil Largest country in South America. Eastern South America. Borders every South American nation except Chile and Ecuador. Amazon River gives access to the Pacific Ocean. 4,500 miles coastline on the Atlantic Ocean.

13 NATURAL RESOURCES of Brazil Bauxite, gold, iron ore, manganese, nickel, phosphates, platinum, tin, rare earth elements, uranium, petroleum, hydropower, timber

15 LOCATION of Cuba Island nation 90 miles south of Florida. Surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico to the west, the Caribbean Sea to the south, and the Atlantic Ocean to the east.

16 CLIMATE of Cuba Tropical; moderated by trade winds; dry season (November to April); rainy season (May to October)

17 NATURAL RESOURCES of Cuba Cobalt, nickel, iron ore, chromium, copper, salt, timber, silica, petroleum, arable land
