TEQC Editor Mark W. Huber Army Geospatial Center

2 TEQC Editor Just a front end on the UNAVCO TEQC
Translation, Editing, and Quality Checking Visual Basic front end on the UNAVCO TEQC utility

3 Selected file is shown on the Input Tab
Browse to file(s) Selected file is shown on the Input Tab Select file type then click on [Browse] to select input file

4 Browse to file(s) – choose two files to concatenate
The utility allows more than one input file. This will concatenate the two observations into one output file. This could be useful for those times when you had to restart occupation due to power shutdown or a cow brushes the tripod.

5 Default output file extension is “.teqc”
Ability to split files into segments (useful for OPUS-RS) .teqc is the default output file extension. The utility will also look for this extension when browsing for a RINEX input file. The user can edit the output filename. Do not make the output filename the same as the input filename.

6 Ability to split files into segments (useful for OPUS-RS)
User selects duration of output files The user can split in input file into shorter output files. Check in box and select the desired time span interval

7 Choose to echo TEQC message
Choose to create a DOS batch file which is useful for troubleshooting Check the boxes to create a DOS batch file (teqc.bat) which will allow the user to run TEQC from a DOS Prompt or to show the messages output by TEQC. These are useful when troubleshooting. The batch file will contain all of the switches used for TEQC.

8 Enter in new start and stop times using TEQC formatting
Double click the textbox to pull up the slider. Double click in either the beginning or ending time to bring up a slider bar.

9 Session length is displayed
Slide to desired time Session length is displayed The slider bar allows the user to select a beginning and/or ending time. As the slide is being moved, the resultant occupation time will be displayed.

10 Specify metadata (i.e. point name/number, agency, observer)
User can set defaults The user can change the point number and name, the agency and observer.. The utility will remember the last defaults entered into the boxes. Check the boxes to use the dafaults.

11 Delete satellites/systems
This function is why this utility was created – useful with OPUS-Projects The user can identify which satellites to omit in the output file. This is the reason why this frontend was developed. This will allow users of OPUS-Projects to improve their results by deleting satellites with large residuals.

12 Specify the observables required separated by a '+' (Ex c1+l1+l2+p2)
Options L1, L2, C1, P2, P1, D1, and D2 The user can select which observables to include in the output file. Check the GPS Only box to delete all other GNSS observables.

13 Decimate observations to specified interval
The output epoch interval and elevation mask can also be specified. I am having trouble with the epoch interval on files that begin with a time that in not a whole second (millisecond off i.e seconds)

14 If you are a TEQC techy and you remember the switches, you can enter them here
The utility allows for additional switches to be included.

15 [Execute] to preprocess the input file(s)
The output RINEX file is displayed on the Output Tab Once the user has selected the options, click on [Execute] to produce the output file. The output file is displayed on the [Output] tab.

16 [QC] will run the TEQC Quality Check on the selected input file
Click on [QC] to produce a quality control report of the input file

17 [QC] will run the TEQC Quality Check on the selected input file

18 Choose either Outlook or Text Files
The Utilities Tab will gather OPUS results and display them in tabular form Choose either Outlook or Text Files The utility can produce a tabular report of OPUS results. Select either Outlook or Text Files for the source of the data. You will then be asked to identify the Outlook folder or the drive directory. [Get Outlook Mail] will prompt for Inbox Folder [Get Text Files] will browse for folder

19 [Copy] puts the output into the paste buffer
The output tabulation will be put into the Paste Buffer by clicking on [Copy]

20 Then you can paste into Excel or other programs
The tabulation can then be pasted into other applications such as Excel where the user can perform additional analysis.
