2. What is Planning?
The act of deciding on how to do something (Cambridge advanced learner’s dictionary)
Webster’s International Dictionary (1981) defines planning as an act or process of making or carrying out plans.

3. What is Lesson? What is Lesson Plan?
Period of time in which a person is taught about how to do something. (Cambridge Advanced Learner’s Dictionary)
Lesson is an insight gained by a learner into previously unfamiliar subject-matter.
What is Lesson Plan?
Teacher's detailed description of the course of instruction for an individual lesson with specific outcome (objectives).

4. Lesson Plan is organized outlines that specify the subject matter to be covered, the order in which the information will be presented, and the timeline for delivering each section or component of the subject matter.
Basically there are two types of lesson plan like simple lesson plan and complex lesson plan.
While there are many formats for a lesson plan, most lesson plans contain some or all of these elements, typically in this order:

Time required completing the lesson
List of required materials
List of objectives, which may be behavioral objectives (what the student can do at lesson completion) or knowledge objectives (what the student knows at lesson completion)
Teaching Skills and technique
Lesson summery and even new words.

6. Why Lesson Plan
Lesson Plan is an actual teacher in the classroom where the teaching learning processes are going on.
It is a teacher who plan the lesson keeping in mind the audience (student) with specific learning outcomes within a given period of time.
Organization is the key to success. An organized teacher knows exactly what all students are doing at all times, what they have done and where they need to be going next. Lesson plans allow for teachers to ensure they are covering all outcomes that need to be taught.

A key aspect of effective teaching is having a plan for what will happen in the classroom each day. Creating such a plan involves setting realistic goals, deciding how to incorporate course textbooks and other required materials, and developing activities that will promote learning.

8. Research indicates that all students benefit from, and appreciate well-structured lessons.
Lesson plans are not written for teachers to read to the class. They are used to structure the lesson and to help with the flow of the class, especially when something has occurred to distract everyone, including the teacher.

9. How to plan Lesson
It provides a detailed, step-by-step description of how to replicate the lesson and achieve lesson plan objectives.
This is usually intended for the teacher and provides suggestions on how to proceed with implementation of the lesson plan.
It also focuses on what the teacher should have students do during the lesson.
It basically divided into several components: an introduction, a main activity, and closure.

Lesson title ( specific time allotment, level of students, achievable objectives)
Introduction (gaining attention, recapitulation, making links to new lesson to be taught)
Lesson Development ( Student teacher activities)
Closure (checking the understanding of the lesson taught)
Follow up activities (Extended activities)

11. Detail needs to be considered while planning lesson as of following:
Introduction
How will you introduce the ideas and objectives of this lesson?
How will you get students' attention and motivate them in order to hold their attention?
How can you tie lesson objectives with student interests and past classroom activities?
What will be expected of students?

How would you describe the flow of the lesson to another teacher who will replicate it?
What does the teacher do to facilitate learning and manage the various activities?
What are some good and bad examples to illustrate what you are presenting to students?
How can this material be presented to ensure each student will benefit from the learning experience?

What will you use to draw the ideas together for students at the end?
How will you provide feedback to students to correct their misunderstandings and reinforce their learning?

14. 4. Follow up Lessons/Activities
What activities might you suggest for enrichment and remediation?
What lessons might follow as a result of this lesson?

15. Lesson plan as a part of yearly planning
Yearly planning is Systematic sets of content topics which is scheduled to complete within given period of time (i.e. a year)
