3 On-Campus Residential Meal Plans
Only available to students living on campus, in the residence halls Choice between Small, Medium, Large, and Athletic Money left at end of each quarter (Fall and Winter) will roll over to the next quarter… Any money that is not used by the end of SPRING QUARTER is non-refundable and non-transferrable If you run out of money at the end of the quarter you may NOT add “Dining Dollars” on to the Medium or Small meal plans. You may add on to the Large and Athletic, however. Can only be used for food and is not accepted at the CWU Library or Wildcat Shop

4 Meal Plan Break-Down On-campus meal plans breakdown:
Overhead cost – 65% Dining dollars – 35% Overhead is taken out at the beginning of the quarter to pay for bulk food purchases, labor, and facility costs Dining dollars are deposited on the student’s card and are used as a debit plan at dining locations

Meal Plan Break-Down Choose between these four sizes. “Total Quarter Cost” is what you pay at beginning of each quarter; “Overhead Costs "get taken out to pay for dining services, staffing, buying in bulk,etc; “Dining Dollars” are what is deposited on the card for you to use at any dining location. If you are living in the Wahle residence hall you have the option to choose the Liberty Plan: You will receive a “straight”$ on your account Overhead costs and Residential discount do not apply to the Liberty Plan Receive a 5% discount and do not pay sales tax

8 What if I want to change my meal plan?
Meal plan changes may ONLY be done during the first week of each quarter You now have the choice to do your meal plan change online at the University housing website or come into the Connection Card Office (SURC, Room 131)

10 General Debit and Freedom Plans
For off campus students that do not have a residential meal plan For on campus students that have a medium or small meal plan and cannot add extra $$ to their meal plan Money is refundable and has no expiration date as long as you are affiliated with CWU How do I get it? It is activated whenever you add money to it. You can add money at the following locations: Cashier’s office, Connection Card office, or the Holmes Dining Hall machine If adding money in the Connection Card Office, you may use Credit, Debit, EXACT cash, or check; we accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover

11 Where can I use my Connection Card?
For residential meal plans, general debit plans, and freedom plans: All dining locations: Central Marketplace, Cat Trax East and West, North Village, Holmes Dining, C-Stores, Wellington’s, Coffee stands The general debit plan may be used All dining locations: Central Marketplace, Cat Trax East and West, North Village, Holmes Dining, C-Stores, Wellington’s, Coffee stands Library: Photocopies Wildcat Shop: Purchase anything EXCEPT text books Laundry Facilities

12 Adding Money to Freedom Plan from Financial Aid
If you have money from financial aid that you would like to put on your connection card, you can add money to your off-campus Freedom Plan during the beginning of the quarter (during the Add/Drop period) by coming into the Connection Card Office. You must have financial aid in order to charge your account. You will need to make sure that you have enough Financial Aid to cover all other costs such as tuition and fees first.

13 HELP! I lost my Connection Card!
Come to the Connection Card Office to replace your lost card (SURC, Room 131) Replacement fee: $20 or $35 if you use your card for key access into a residence hall Once a card is replaced, lost/stolen card is deactivated & cannot be reactivated Connection Cards do not need to be renewed on a yearly basis Free replacement for normal wear and tear, unless intentional damage is shown

14 Don’t Get in Trouble! Unauthorized Use:
Using a Connection card that does not bear your identity is strictly prohibited. Unauthorized use also includes allowing someone to use your card while you are not present. Cards which are confiscated for unauthorized use will be destroyed and not returned or replaced. If the incident occurs more than once you may be subject to a fine of $ and/or disciplinary action. PLEASE, just DON’T DO IT!
