1 The latest News: This week we will be focused on the following: In Writing, we will be working on creating our “masterpiece narrative.” Students will be working on putting creative leads, transitional sentences and creative closings in a narrative that focuses on teaching a lesson or “morale” In Social Studies, we will be learning about the key physical features of the United States and how to use longitude and latitude. The quiz will be Thursday and a study guide is embedded in the classroom power point to help students prepare for the quiz. (The quiz will be 10/15) Weekly Announcements: 10/12/2015

2 The best way to help your child prepare for the quiz on Thursday is to use the study guide embedded in the “US landforms” power point. ALSO… the last card in the power point is full of computer resources to help you and your child learn concepts for the quiz RETAKE POLICY : A retake quiz is available every Monday for anyone who wants to increase their last Friday quiz score. Simply bring in the old quiz with a parent signature. I will give the better of the two quiz scores…not the average. SO… please encourage your children to reach for the sky!.
