3 Introductions Name Title Location

4 Bandwidth Update “On Feb 12th, working with our Allot Technical support, shaping measures were put in place. We blocked access to Youtube and Google Video that provides non-academic video streaming, a source of Internet bandwidth consumption. If a school district needs this access unblocked, we can open it back up, as required. We have placed a maximum of 20 Mb on the Dorms from 9 am to 3 pm. We have placed a maximum of 20 Mb on the Caching Server traffic on the Internet side. We have placed a maximum of 70 Mb for all WINS Districts and a minimum for each district at 4 Mb. What this means is that you have access to all 70 Mb if only one district is online and if all districts are consuming the 70 Mb, you have at least 4 Mb to handle your traffic. All of these adjustments are for Inbound traffic only. Outbound traffic is not being limited at all.” Email sent on Feb 21 with update: Since the 12 th, we see no issues with the Yipes interface. We will continue to record stats and review them as necessary. We will make the necessary adjustments as required for each district.

5 Internet Access Issues Some districts had Internet Access issues during February that we resolved together. Firewall needed upgrading ( 2 ) DNS servers were misconfigured ( 3 ) Infected PC’s with Worms and Virus were found ( 2 ) Mail Servers misconfigured ( 1 ) Mail Servers still with web remote access issues ( not resolved ) ( 2 ) None of these problems were related to the Internet Congestion issue. It does remind us to communicate issues, troubleshoot together, keep an open mind, and do not assume that all of our problems are related.
