The Four Seasons Lesson Review Intro

Introduction Subject: Science, The Four Seasons Grade Level: Preschool Objective: For students to learn about the changing of the four seasons; spring, summer, fall and winter. To learn what happens during each of these seasons and what it means to them. This lesson uses the ODE Standard of Observations and Explorations of Nature. Directions: Students will follow along with the slides to gain knowledge about the Four Seasons, afterwards we will review!

Lesson Directions Good Day Students! This is where you will begin your journey to discover our planet’s four seasons! Please follow along with the slides, using the arrows at the bottom left and right corners of the page to navigate. The square box with the house in it at the top left, is the home key. If you are lost please click that button and it will take you back to the first slide. Following the lesson you will have a short review, good luck!

Let’s Talk About the Seasons! Did you know that there are Four different seasons that we get to experience and enjoy? In those Four different seasons we have many activities and traditions that we all love to share with our friends and family. We have Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall! Join me on this journey through the seasons to find out what each season means to you!

Winter Winter is when the snow falls and it is the coldest outside. By now all of the leaves on the trees have fallen to the ground, leaving the trees bare. The flowers are all gone and the grass is brown. White Winter snow has arrived! It is time for sled riding, skiing and snowmen! Be sure to bundle up in Winter coats, hats, gloves and boots, it is cold outside!

Spring Spring is the start of our warmer weather. It is when the flowers start to bloom and the trees begin to get their wonderful green leaves. For some of you, Spring is also a time when you begin baseball and fun outdoor activities; such as riding your bike or playing outside. The air is still a bit cool and a light jacket may be needed!

Summer Summer follows spring. By now the trees have all of their green leaves. The sun is hot and high in the sky. The days are long and the nights are warm. During the summer you might enjoy swimming, boating, beach vacations and playing outside all day with your friends. Enjoy your summer vacation! Remember it is very hot, so wear shorts and tee- shirts and lots of sunscreen!

Fall Fall is after summer. It is when the leaves on the trees change from green, to brown, red and yellow. Toward the end of Fall the leaves on the trees start to fall to the ground, but they are lots of fun to play in! You might see pumpkins and silly costumes! The day gets shorter and the night gets cooler. Be sure to wear a warm jacket outside because the air is cool.
