Spring Semester Planning Advisory – December 9, 2015
2
Your Classes All seniors will switch their government and economics classes when the new semester begins. Be sure you turn in your textbooks to the library. Students who are retaking a class because they failed it last year, need to see your counselor this week. If you pass, you’ll be able to add a different class. If you fail it again, you’ll continue taking the class. For the most part, most students will keep their exact class schedule as it is right now. If you have any questions about your class schedule for next semester, make an appointment with your counselor TODAY.

Planning Ahead Everyone take out a blank sheet of binder paper. Write your name and today’s date in the upper left-hand corner. 1.Write three things that you did well as a student this semester. 2.Write three things that you know you need to improve for next semester. (Those of you who think you’re perfect, dig deep! Everyone has something to work on! You can include personal items here, not just school goals.) 3.Write at least one sentence for every item in #2 explaining what you will SPECIFICALLY do to make those improvements. Put this paper in your advisory folder. We’ll review it later.

STUDY! Prepare for your final exams and speak to your teachers if you are in danger of failing a class. If you fail a class, you’ll need to take it again next year. Your success at school is in your control. Study for your finals and make the last two weeks of the semester count!
