4 Predicate Noun A noun that follows a linking verb and renames or defines the subject

5 Predicate Noun Examples- The boy is a football player. She is an incredible dancer.

6 Predicate Adjective A predicate adjective is an adjective that follows a linking verb that modifies the subject.

7 Predicate Adjectives Examples- The teacher became excited with her class. The children were upset with the teacher.

8 Complements All Direct objects, Indirect objects, Predicate Nouns, and Predicate Adjectives are called COMPLEMENTS
