5 Homework Policy Generally, I give less homework than most math teachers. Rarely do I give homework on the weekends This is subject to change depending on the amount of class work we are able to achieve.

7 Write This Down Andersonalgebra1.wikispaces.com This wiki will be updated daily (more or less if necessary) with class work, homework, power points, etc. If you lose it, want another copy, missed class, etc this is the place to go.

10 Any questions? Please Note: No non-class related materials will be allowed out during class. That is, no brushes, no mirrors, no cell phones, no mp3 players, no drinks, no lotions, no potions, no cards, etc. (they will be confiscated if seen)

11 Absent or Missed Work This is high school – it is your responsibility to find out what you missed and when it is due. Check the Wiki. You will have five (5) days to complete the work or make up the test/quiz. You will need to make an appointment (before or after school).

13 Mathematician Project Draw a mathematician to research Research on-line Use Microsoft Word to create a brochure (3 fold/6 columns) (It must be typed) Review the rubric (it is on the wiki)

14 Note Worthy Items You need to pass this class and the final exam to graduate This is high school – take the responsibility for your education 21 st Century Skills  Times without a calculator Common Core  Working in groups

15 Calculator Policy We will not be using graphing calculators in the Foundations of Algebra and Algebra 1 classes, until late in the semester. This will help us learn, understand and apply math reasoning. We will be using solar powered standard calculators for more difficult mathematical operations.
