Each student has email  The email is in within a Google domain set up specifically for Belton ISD as MyBISD.net.  The email is accessible through mail.mybisd.net and each student’s username is the same as in Skyward. usually firstname.lastname@mybisd.net.firstname.lastname@mybisd.net  The password is your student ID number and the word tiger.

3. What can you do with email?  You will be able to email your teachers and sign up for required accounts (like Edmodo or DropBox).  You may change your password.  The school district can access, review, and restrict anything within the mybisd.net domain.

4. Email Changes  This year students will not be able to email each other through their mybisd.net email.  Students will be able to email teachers at their bisd.net accounts.  If a teacher needs students to receive email from a specific site, they can request that site to be added to the exceptions.

5. What else is available?  Each student will also have access to Google Docs which has a suite of tools to make school life easier. Those include:  Gmail-for school purposes  Calendar – To help you stay organized and even share calendars.  These work with iPads.

6. And more…  Docs –To word process, use spreadsheets, draw and create presentations  Sites—To create websites NOTE: The mobile version of Google doesn’t always work well. Go to the DESKTOP version on your iPad.
