2 Training Topic: Member Retention and Communication CNH Key Club District | Key Club International CNH | MEMBERS BOARD OFFICERS ADVISORS LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR EXECUTIVES Your Lieutenant Governor has the information about district events and opportunities. They may help you with any situation. They have the experience! Many board officers complain, “I was not given any work to do” Assign tasks and make sure that all tasks assigned are completed. Greet the members at the door. Acknowledge everyone. If there is any trouble, be sure to address it. Communication is the KEY

This makes sure that no one can look at someone else’s email! Good email

Thank you for signing up for the Eskaton Senior Center Board Game event. It will be tomorrow from 10-12 at 8550 Barton Rd Granite Bay. Thanks!” Day before event

12 Training Topic: Member Retention and Communication CNH Key Club District | Key Club International CNH | Club Day TV Bulletin Reminders Intercom Reminders Post flyers outside of advisor’s classroom (flyers and brochures are available for free in Kiwanis Store) Visit individual classrooms (Government, etc) if they are focused on community service or require community service hours Post what Key Club is on the school website (parents see this!) Membership Recruitment

13 Training Topic: Member Retention and Communication CNH Key Club District | Key Club International CNH | Have members run activities / ice breakers Speakers Service projects during meetings Start and end on time (increases trust) Hand out candy for Key Club trivia answers Give out monthly awards (advertise this beforehand) Greet everyone at the door, and say goodbye /thanks (you are a friend and a leader!) Making cards for soldiers or senior citizens Collecting recycling from each classroom Offer to help teachers in whichever way they need it Clean up the school Make bookmarks to give to elementary schools Meeting Attendance
