8 What can Parents do to help? Parent View – a key Ofsted measure Attendance – a key Ofsted measure Support at home – e.g. reading Pupil progress – Ask questions – Is my child making progress? – How much progress has my child made? – How do you know? – Can you show me the evidence?

9 Summary The journey continues, but considerable progress has been made The Ofsted goal posts have been moved again We’ve ‘raised the bar’ Expectations and aspirations are high We have a strong team Everyone is accountable and know they must make a contribution Solid foundations are in place The adjustments are minor, rather than fundamental We need time to provide hard evidence of progress Assessment is a challenge, but we must ‘hold our nerve’ Parents and pupils are crucial to success Thank you for your support
