2 Jill O’Meara o 27th year of teaching…18 th year at Eastvalley o Graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2014 with a Master’s in Instructional Technology o Enjoys reading, working out and spending time with my family

3 Liz Urbano  26 th year of teaching…11 years in Gifted Education  Second year at Eastvalley  Math Specialist in Gwinnett County  Loves working out, shopping and spending time with family and friends

4 Our Mission Continues to Be… To prepare gifted students for an ever-changing global marketplace where they must be self-reflective, goal-oriented, problem-seekers and solvers

5 The ALP Program is process- driven. Our ultimate goal is for students to meet the standards. The content and activities help us reach these goals.

13 First Grade Schedule 8:15-8:45- unpack, warm-up, class meeting 8:45-9:20- Affective Lesson 9:25- 10:10- Specials 10:15-11:30- Primary Algebra 11:33-12:15- Lunch with homeroom 12:15-1:15- PACE 1:15- Target Tally/Self-Reflection/pack-up 1:30- 1:50- Recess 2:00- Return to homeroom

19 Important Information  Target bags  Send your child in with a HEALTHY snack (no cookies, chips, or candy)  Water bottles  Target Lunch (12:27 – 12:57)  1 st and 4 th Grade eat with homeroom and return to Target  Please look over and sign your child’s Target Tally each week  The ALP Blog is updated within a day of class. It is a requirement that your child check the blog weekly to find the homework question to complete. Students will write the answer to the question in their Brain Book.blog
