3 Facilitates the “effective and efficient progression of students within and among the higher segments to minimize the duplication of coursework” Creates a faculty-driven common course numbering system in CA for primarily transferable courses. Replaces the old “CAN” numbering system Creates a “common course” framework upon which TMCs can be built

4 Supra: A statewide system that attaches a numerical tag to a course to help identify comparable courses at other institutions

13 … effective July 1, 2015, all ADT proposals (new substantial and nonsubstantial change) must 1)Have a CID status of “Approved” for all courses entered on a TMC Template where a C-ID descriptor is listed. Required Core, List A, List B, or List C sections, must appear in C-ID.net with an “Approved” status for that descriptor. Exception is that if the TMC Template indicates that an ASSIST Articulation Agreement by Major (AAM) is accepted in addition to the C-ID descriptor. 2) Include all the current attachments (Narrative,template, COR, if applicable ASSIST Report, Advisory Board Minutes, Labor Market information)

16 Chancellor’s Office Submission Chancellor’s Office Asks: College has submitted all courses with C-ID descriptors to C-ID for review? Yes or No Until all courses have been submitted to C-ID, the proposal cannot be submitted to the Chancellor’s Office for review and approval.
