13. They love both the training process and the data necessary to obtain God’s “wisdom” and walk in a close and intimate relationship with Him.

16. The Contrast! “He who hates reproof” SANE TOKACHATH This person does not want to learn God’s Word, especially because it steps on their toes.

17. They are afraid of the changes God’s Word may have on their lives, not knowing that those changes are for the better both now and in eternity.

18. This believer is “stupid” BA’AR, in God’s eyes, “senseless, foolish or brutish.” They are like an animal grazing.

19. They keep doing what they have been doing inside of Satan’s cosmic system like a dumb animal, not knowing the hurt they cause to themselves and those around them.

20. The one who hates reproof, Prov 1:22, stands outside of God’s Plan for the inculcation of Bible Doctrine in an academic setting, cf. Prov 9:3, and belongs to the animal kingdom.

21. Too many Christians are fitting God into their schedule rather than fitting themselves into God’s schedule.

22. A necessary condition of learning is having the desire to learn.

23. Those who love knowledge are eager to be corrected since they know that learning:

24. Those who love knowledge are eager to be corrected since they know that learning: 1) gains new material,

25. Those who love knowledge are eager to be corrected since they know that learning: 1) gains new material, 2) corrects wrong information, interpretations or practices.

26. Those unwilling to learn are vulnerable to the deceptions of Satan’s cosmic system, and do not benefit from the wisdom of God. Cf. Prov 1:25, 30; 13:18.

27. Prov 1:25, “And you neglected all my counsel and did not want my reproof.”

28. Prov 1:30, “They would not accept my counsel, they spurned all my reproof.”

29. Prov 13:18, “Poverty and shame will come to him who neglects discipline, but he who regards reproof will be honored.”

30. Prov 30:2-3, “Surely I am more stupid than any man, and I do not have the understanding of a man. 3 Neither have I learned wisdom, nor do I have the knowledge of the Holy One.”
