4. John 17:6-19 John 17:17 Sanctified by the Truth, (Word of God).

5. John 17:17, “Sanctify them in the sphere of Your Truth; Your Word (Bible Doctrine) is Truth.”

6. Principles of Bible Doctrine as the “Truth”.

7. 9. Bible Doctrine is the truth, and keeps on being the truth, and will always be the truth. This is the basis for protection of the believer.

8. Psa 40:11, “You, O LORD, will not withhold Your compassion from me; Your loving- kindness and Your truth will continually preserve me.”

9. Psa 91:4, “He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you may seek refuge; His truth is a shield and bulwark.”

10. Bulwark – SOCHERAH, “Something that surrounds and protects, a wall that is built for defense, someone or something that protects or defends something such as a belief, idea, or way of life.”

11. It is used to describe how the truth of God’s Word surrounds and provides protection to the person who trusts in Him. John 17:17, “Sanctify them in the sphere of Your truth.”

12. Truth protects us and keeps us from deception. 2 Thes 2:10-11; 2 Tim 3:5-8; 4:1-4

13. In GAP, God the Holy Spirit teaches us the Word of God. That is why He too is called “truth”. John 14:17, 26

14. 1 John 5:6b, “It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.”

15. 2 Tim 3:16-17, “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”

16. Eph 4:21-25, “If indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus. 25 Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.”

17. Eph 6:14, “Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness.”

18. No unbeliever can produce this; no carnal believer can produce this; only the believer who functions under GAP consistently, day by day, can have an ECS in the Cosmos.

19. Gal 5:7, “You were running well; who hindered you from obeying the truth?”

20. 10. This truth, Bible Doctrine, will be with us for all of eternity. 2 John 1:2, “For the sake of the truth which abides in us and will be with us forever.”

21. Proverbs 21:28, “The man who listens to the truth will speak forever.”

22. 11. To some the truth is offensive. Gal 4:16, “So have I become your enemy by telling you the truth?”

23. 12. The Rejection of the Truth: Those who do not know the Truth.

24. In John 8:40, 44-47, our Lord is contesting with the religious leaders who were rejecting God’s provision for a Savior found in the Person of Christ.

25. 1 John 2:21b, “No lie is of the truth.”

26. Self righteous, legalistic, religious leaders reject God’s truth and grace being caught up in themselves and their own works as deceived by Satan.

27. John 14:17a, “The Spirit of truth the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him.”

28. Those who are deceived and have rejected the truth for salvation are of or a type of the Antichrist. 2 Thes 2:10, 12
